Thai-Chinese Journalists Association :TCJA

The Thai-Chinese Journalists Association: TCJA was established in May 2013 as a collaboration between Thai and Chinese professional journalists. The Association’s office is found at B-Square Village Rama 9, Mengjai 600/76-78, Soi Ramkhamhaeng 39 (Thepleela 1), Pracha Uthit Road, Wang Thong Lang, Wang Thonglang, Bangkok 10310, Thailand.The goal of the Association is to promote understanding and good relations between journalists in Thailand and in the People’s Republic of China as well as cooperating with governments, organizations, associations, individuals, or groups of people to promote the advancement of education, teaching, training and knowledge and understanding development. Moreover, the Association aims to promote welfare of journalists in Thailand and in the People’s Republic of China.

The Association aims to encourage members to participate in the education of journalism and cooperating in improving journalist Critical Thinking skills, news production and dissemination, as well as work related to journalism in various fields. In addition, the dissemination should not be in conflict with government policies, administration and regulations. The Association will cooperate with agencies, institutions, organizations, both public and private, charitable organizations in conducting charitable and public benefit activities.

The Thai- Chinese Journalists Association plan to organize academic activities to educate members as well as the public, in the form of training, seminars and long-term courses. The activities will be on issues and topics that are of interest and beneficial to the journalist profession, especially to enhance knowledge and understanding of cooperation between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.

  • “The Insight China Project” is the TCJA’s members study trip to The People’s Republic of China for Arts and culture education and economic development. This project will provide opportunities to exchange experiences and gain Chinese culture insights among members.
  • “Learning Chinese and Thai language Project” is the project that aims to strengthen and enhance the Chinese-Thai communication abilities.
  • “Scholarship Program for Children Project “is the project that Promote Chinese and Thai language learning for children of its members. TCJA will organize exchange programs to send children to summer camps in the People’s Republic of China and Thailand, enabling the youth of the two countries to have good attitude and understanding towards each other.
  • The Thai- Chinese Journalists Association will also focus on the development of independent and quality journalists in support of social and economic development of the two countries.
